The news is out! Actor Elijah Wood is the latest celeb to plant roots in Austin.

In December, Wood bought a home lovingly dubbed “The Marlin House” located in Bouldin Creek, a trendy and highly-desirable area of South Austin.

The Marlin House was originally built in 1890 and boasts over 3,200 square feet of impeccable living. It was moved from Marlin, TX (about 2 hours northeast of Austin) to its current location in late 2008.

Austin developers Priscilla Glover and Ivan Spaller transformed the 4 bedroom 4.5 bathroom home into a place where history now meets modern living. The home’s original turn-of-the-century Victorian architecture is accented by 11-foot ceilings, long leaf pine floors, large windows, Italian Marble in the kitchen and baths, two master suites, two dining rooms, and picture-perfect porches for our hot summer nights.

It features many other carefully executed design details including custom woodwork throughout and an insulated, jazzy two car garage. To view more pictures of his new beautiful home click here.
