The Austin Boys and Girls Clubs Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be conducting its first Rubber Duck Derby on November 15, 2014 from 10:00 until Noon. Festivities will begin at the Austin American Statesman’s parking lot adjacent to Lady Bird Lake and the Ducks will be launched from the Ann Richards Bridge
All proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club Foundation whose purpose is to create an endowment that will ensure the long term sustainability of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Austin Area. Proceeds from the endowment are used to award college scholarships to worthy Club members.
YOU CAN ADOPT A DUCK BY GOING TO www.austinduckderby.com. For five dollars you might win the Grand Prize of a car donated by Onion Creek Volkswagen or a one week vacation at the Fairmont Heritage Place Lodge in Telluride, Colorado. There will be lots of kids activities including photo ops with “Derby Duck”.
So please participate November 15th and support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Austin who touch the lives of 12,000 kids each year in Travis County via 24 clubs.
