Live creek, runs year round, it has for the last 40 years plus. US forestry fish hatchery on the other side of creek has given us lots of privacy over the last 30 years. Nothing but trees visible behind the house. Over the years we have had lots of perch, bass, carps and catfish right behind the house. We have seen lots of raccoons, opossums, squirrels and a few snakes. We have even seen a porcupine and a wolf once. Lots of birds. Our kids swam and played in the creek behind the house when they were young then used the two POA parks on the river as they got older. Inks Lake State Park is only 3 mi. away and has great swimming (cliff jumping) for the older kids. One of our POA parks has a boat ramp. Shoals Pkwy is a paved county road and is maintained by the county. The home is not in the FEMA 100 yr. flood plain. It is in the 500 yr. flood plain.
